History
Quick Cross was created by the Great American Trading Company in 1997.
The Board
Quick Cross is played on a four-row, four-column board with a cross-shaped slot in each space.[img src="a.svg" alt="a" width="300" height="300"]
The Pieces
There are 16 chips total, each of which either player can place on their turn. All chips are off the board at the start of the game.
Rules
To move: Either place a chip in an empty cross on the board in either a horizontal or vertical direction, or change the direction of an already-placed chip.
To win: Be the first to create a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line of four chips whose directions are either all horizontal or all vertical.
Variants
- Misere: The objective is to force your opponent to create a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line of four chips of the same orientation.
